31st July:
Season’s best Monsoon raining is here:

Jalgaon district witnessed this season’s best monsoon raining yesterday evening. The raining begun in evening continued till late night in heavy to medium and in showering form at some places. Jalgaon city witnessed large amount of water logging in many areas following rain pouring begun at 6.30pm in evening. Yaval and Chalisgaon remained dry and had no raining yesterday. Continued raining caused flooding alike situation in many River and Nala and has wetted soil for good crop yields.

Corporation general body meeting review:
Jalgaon city municipal corporation general body met yesterday to discuss and explore various projects in the run. Amongst major decisions include introducing no entry for heavy motor vehicle from 8am to 2pm, 4pm to 8pm with effect from 05th August, levying of nominal entry fee in corporation owned amusement parks for its maintenance. Body also approved searching of another suitable location for meat market earlier proposed to be shifted from Shirsoli to Avhane near Jalgaon seeing its rapid expansion. Body also discussed on reservation change of earlier municipal council building land and Sane Guruji hospital land currently lying vacant. Citizens have posted demand of special parking zone for both locations seeing large number of vehicles in the market zone.

District administration recruitment drive – written exam today:
Jalgaon district administration is conducting written exam of around 27,500 aspirants for 106 posts of Talathi in Jalgaon. The exam has 87 centres throughout the district and it includes 34 in Jalgaon Taluka and is from 11am until 1pm. There are 2,200+ staffing for smoothing conduct of the exam.

SBI opens up Mahabal branch in Jalgaon:

Indian banking giant SBI has started spreading its wings to achieve the best of its brand name. Thrilled by response to its last year initiated Jilha Peth branch in Jalgaon city, the bank has taken a step ahead by opening up new branch in Jalgaon city’s happening and fast growing Mahabal area. The SBI Mahabal branch is equipped with ATM and all banking features as par with other branches and aims to serve individual customers broadly. Begun with mere single branch opposite Stadium now holds 6 branches in Jalgaon city.

State to initiate special measures for improvement of human resource index:
State government in its special drive to enhance human resource index in State’s 12 districts has included Jalgaon district’s Chopda, Jamner, Bodwad, MuktaiNagar, Amalner, Erandol and Chalisgaon Tahsil. The drive would now move ahead with special means to enhance health, education and individual earnings related projects from first week of August.
Administration has called a special review meet with block development officers, education officers and school heads to discuss wide measures in the reference.

Jain sports academy wins Police Superintendent Trophy football competition:
District Police superintendent trophy football competition ended yesterday with Jalgaon based Jain sports academy defeating Jalgaon police team by 3-0 in finals. Team player Arif Khan won best player award. Competition had first prize of Rs. 5,000 and trophy.

Dhule’s Shashikant Podwal on Colours TV channel today:

Shashikant Pedwal, Dhule native and currently working in Jalgaon is performing today in Colours TV channel’s newly beginning reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’. The Big-B Amitabh Bacchan fan Shashikant has dressed up himself as Amitabh in this performance and would show his talents in front of Dharmendra and many other judges. Earlier he participated in Sony TV’s reality show ‘एंटरटॆनमॆंट कॆ लिए कुछ भी करॆगा’ on 11th July and showed his skills being ‘शहंशाह’ role. He is a teaching faculty in I.T.I. Jalgaon.

Rain pouring in Khandesh:
Entire Khandesh region witnessed monsoon’s best splash on Wednesday night spreading glee of cheer. Meteorological department has recorded 35.89mm raining on Wednesday night in Jalgaon district with only exclusion of Erandol and Bhusawal having no raining. This raining has caused flooding in Tapi, Girna and many small Rivers. It has wiped off farmers woes of this cultivation.
District earlier had mere 23.35% raining till 27th July and this raining has now taken this average near 30%. The Girna River area specially witnessed good raining significantly helping in dam water level rise. Pachora remained on top of chart in raining with 99.30mm raining; Jalgaon had 43.70mm wherein Bhusawal just had 8mm rainfall. Bhadgaon has reported water logging in many houses wherein many farms in region have witnessed sand collection in farms following rain water logging.

Shivsena Marathi Mahotsav begins today:
Shivsena Jalgaon unit conducted its State level ‘मराठी महॊत्सव’ is beginning today in Jalgaon based Bal-Gandharva open theatre. Inaugural ceremony has single, group dances, skating, Malla-Khamb and alike performances.

Jalgaon’s Social reformist Nilima Mishra gets Ramon Magsaysay award:

Nilima Mishra, a women entrepreneur and reformist encouraging thousands of women in Khandesh region for self-employment by introducing small-savings group has been honoured with international Raman Magsaysay award for the year by Raman Magsaysay award foundation, Philippines. She initiated this concept from a small village Bahadurpur in Parola Taluka and later spread this in whole Khandesh as a self-motivated women group having variable sources of earnings. This group’s first produces of household baby mattresses Indian variant export remained one of key achievements of such group functionality.
Nilima is an Arts faculty MA in clinical psychology from Pune University and she left her good job to fulfil her desires of serving grass roots of community and moved back to Bahadarpur in Parola in 1995. The group concept was introduced in year 2000 and it too further shapes seeing fabulous response from all segments of society. She would accompany 12 others from the village to receive this award in ceremony.

District administration plans e-tendering for sand auctioning:
Lured by trade fraternity of Jalgaon district and rising political tycoons gripped sand auctioning process, Jalgaon district administration has announced its plans to introduce e-tendering system in sand auctioning process. Current auctioning awardee tenure is ending on 31st August.
Sand auctioning process has remained centre point of attraction and has seen sharp rise in revenue streams for administration in form of royalty during every process. Introducing e-tendering would now open up this information to whole of lobby across country and could introduce more of healthy earnings for it.
Woe by administration’s Business-like approach, district citizens are in panic with fear of sharp rise in sand rates for construction works. District’s construction segment has witnessed almost 3 times rates for all raw materials. Constructing or repairs have turned to a biggest challenging job with basic inclusion like piece of brick reaching Rs. 5 per piece.

State level marathon competition on 01st August:
district athletics association is conducting state level Marathon competition in Jalgaon on 01st August on eve of first Shravana Monday. The marathon competition has 21kms for men Open; 10kms for women open and also holds district level inter-school marathon on same day. Authorities have announced route for marathon to begin at 7.30am from start point on 01st August.

District administration recruitment drive – over 27,000 candidates for 106 posts:

Jalgaon district administration selection committee is conducting written exam for 106 posts of Talathi on Sunday, 31st July in Jalgaon. There are 27,232 candidates appearing for the exam from across the State. Exam would be conducted at 87 centres in district from 11am until 1pm. This includes Jalgaon – 34, Chalisgaon – 13, Bhusawal – 24, Amalner – 16. The exam pattern will have 100 questions in objective type.

After education sector, Jalgaon is all set to gear up to witness another revolution in field of mass communication and journalism. Jalgaon already having various leading Marathi and Hindi newspapers is now exploring further opportunities ahead. The leading Hindi media giant Dainik Bhaskar group has announced starting up of its daily Marathi newspaper ‘दैनिक दिव्य मराठी’ in Jalgaon from 15th August 2011.

State badminton competition – Ishan Naqvi and Anuradha Shrikhande wins:
District badminton association conducted State rated badminton competition in individual category ended yesterday with Thane based Ishan Naqvi and Pune’s Anuradha Shrikhande winning individual singles competition. Pune based Sameer Bhagwat and Varun Khanvilkar won men’s doubles and Riya Pillai, Mansi Gadgil secured women’s doubles competition. Competition attracted cash prizes worth Rs. 2.25 Lakhs.

24th July:
High Court removes Cotton conditional exports permission clause:

Mumbai High Court has cancelled Centre imposed conditional exports permission clause for exports of cotton. The clause has eligibility of export for current year to those traders who have done the same in year 2008-09 and 2009-10. This clause troubled many small scale ginning factories and forced them to follow large players. It also had capping of 10 Lakh cotton bells as maximum allowed limit for exports for current year.

Jalgaon district Police has announced 3-days Police SP trophy competition from 27th until 29th July at Police parade ground in Jalgaon. Time to change – District’s 453 village Panchayat in women administration:

Central government recently increased women reservation in public services has changed the scenario of public governance. Jalgaon district’s 453 village Panchayat have women ruling as head and centre’s ambition to increase current 33% reservation to 50% would significantly broaden this perspective. Jalgaon district currently has 1,151 Village Panchayat and this includes 2,922 women members including 453 women heading these Panchayat, 54 women in various committees and 24 being district council members.
Key challenges and aspects for women members to prove their strengths in administration are to align their visions with male dominant public governance, ability to strive and paint picture of real desired infrastructural growth in planning and executions and above all introduce citizens friendly governance rather citizen troubling administration in terms of routine related works.

State badminton competition – individual categories matches:
Inter-district state level rated men and women competitions were played yesterday. In singles, Ishan Naqvi, Mayank Gole, Nihar Tilekar and Nigel Disa along with Jui Agaskar, Riya Pillai, Anuradha Shrikhande and Rucha Nikam qualified for fourth rounds. Play witnessed defeats of few rated players in men category. Host Jalgaon players Neha Joshi and Gunjan Patil moved to second rounds along with Deepak Arde and Vrushali Patil qualifying in mixed doubles for second round.

22nd July:
Girana, Waghur and Bahula dam turning towards dry:
Khandesh region’s lifeline Girana dam, Jalgaon city’s water beat Waghur dam and district’s few of important councils supplying Bahula dam are turning towards zero levels following no rain pouring in their catchment areas. District till date has received mere 21.36% of its average monsoon raining and this also is largely medium to showering form. The raining has escaped Kharip crop and the cultivation is about to complete with current raining.
Hatnur dam has 43%, Girana – 5%, Manyad – 71%, Suki – 72%, Abhora – 68%, Tondapur – 90%, Hivra – 48%, Mor – 48%, Gul – 45% and the Waghur, Agnavati, Bhokarbari and Bahula dam are having no water in storage levels.

National highways bypass – government begins acquisition work:
The National Highway Authority in aligned effort with State authorities have begun acquisition of land for National Highway# 6 bypass at Jalgaon, Parola and Varangaon. The acquisition process is expected to cost around 356 Crores which includes construction cost of Rs. 295 Crores, land acquisition at 55 Crores and 6 Crore for ecology related issues resolution.

State badminton competition – Thane wins both categories:
District badminton association conducted State level inter-district badminton competition ended yesterday with Thane boys and girls winning respective categories defeating their counter-parts Mumbai city and Mumbai sub-urban. Host Jalgaon girls secured third rank wherein Pune closed at fourth rank. District for first time in 30 years has achieved third rank in State level competition.

Jalgaon milk union raises milk buying rates:

Jalgaon milk union has announced enhancement in milk buying rates with effect from 21st July by 70 Paise per litre for buffalo milk and Rs. 1.50 per litre for cow milk on grounds of risen animal feed cost causing lowering of procurement. The new rate pattern avails Rs. 29.05 per litre for 7fat buffalo milk and Rs. 19.37 per litre for 4fat cow milk to milk suppliers. It has also raised its selling cost. The popular amongst all Vikas Gold is now sold at Rs. 36 per litre followed by cow milk at Rs. 27 per litre.

Disaster management committee meeting review:
Jalgaon district administration yesterday conducted a review meeting of disaster control committee to analyse preparations with reference to flooding during monsoon times. The meet has estimated around 137 villages likely to face danger of flooding during rain pouring and emphasised need of preparations in these villages. The committee has only 3 boats to use during such flooding calamity and it focussed need of having at least 2 more new boats in addition from Tapi irrigation Development Corporation. Committee also urged water control authorities to send prior intimation to committee as well as to all concerned municipal councils before releasing dam water to have planned approach in handling. It has also ordered JCMC and all councils to buy rainfall measurement instruments and related apparatus to have self-initiated approach during monsoon. District’s none of Corporation and council currently owns any rainfall measurement means and are totally dependent of Mamurabad based meteorological department data.

State level badminton competition – Mumbai, Mumbai sub-urban and Thane in finals:
District badminton association conducted inter-district state level badminton competition yesterday witnessed Thane boys and girls, Mumbai sub-urban girls and Mumbai city boys teams entering in finals of the competition. Final matches would be played today. The host Jalgaon team got defeated by Thane by 2-0.

20th July:
Banana reaches Rs. 746 per quintal:

Jalgaon district’s banana has risen by almost 100 rupees in last 2-3 days following sharp rise in northern India demands and shortages of ready crop. It reached Rs. 650 with Rs. 16 difference factor to touch at Rs. 746 per quintal. Mango season end is also one of reason of rise in demands. District’s banana is now being regularly shipped through railways to northern India and this has equally benefited all producers.

Silver and gold speculates again:
The precious metal segment yesterday witnessed sudden shots in various exchanges leading to sharp rise in both silver and gold prices. Gold rose to Rs. 24,000 per 10gms to reach new high wherein silver made a straight jump of Rs. 1,000 to reach Rs. 61,000 per kilogram. Jewellers have reported speculation as major reason and source of prices variation.

District students shine in CA finals result:
Jalgaon district’s 19 students have passed both groups to complete CA education wherein 26 have cleared first group and other 26 cleared their second group. The exam had Jalgaon district’s 199 students appeared in May2011.

State badminton competition day-1 review:
Jalgaon district badminton association conducted State level inter-district badminton competition yesterday witnessed host Jalgaon, Mumbai sub-urban, Nagpur and Amravati boys team reaching quarter final rounds by winning their league matches. Pune, Mumbai city and Thane got pass as opponent teams didn’t appear making their straight entries in next round. Host Jalgaon has entered in next rounds first time in last 3 years and it defeated Hingoli by 3-2 to qualify.

19th July:
Monsoon glees region:

Continued monsoon raining in medium and showering form has cheered whole region and raised expectation of more raining in coming days. The Bhusawal city alone witnessed around 42.8mm raining on Sunday wherein Yaval - 25.2, Raver - 4.6mm, MuktaiNagar – 3mm and Bodwad with 31.1mm. The region has until now recorded only 18% of its average rainfall.

State level Badminton competition begins in Jalgaon:
District badminton association and Jain sports academy jointly conducted State level badminton competition is beginning today at district sports complex in Jalgaon. Competition is witnessed participation of various national, international level players’ participation and will also have host team participation. State association has announced rating of various participating players in the competition.

18th July:
Monsoon raining in various places in district:

Entire Jalgaon district witnessed medium to heavy raining at almost all places in district. This has boosted farmers for completing cultivation process and save their earlier cultivated crops. The Pushya Nakshatra is starting from 20th July and region expects the monsoon backlog completion in this duration. Graduating monsoon raining has started showing rise in dam water level in region. Neighbouring Dhule and Nandurbar have also reported good raining and Dhule has reported flooding in few rivers. Jalgaon city also witnessed medium raining beginning in evening and continuing in showering form till late night.

State co-operative department announces its action plan for co-operative Societies debts:
Maharashtra State co-operative department regional senior officials visited Jalgaon yesterday and have announced 3-step programme for speedy availing of co-operative deposits lying blocked with various societies following financial lockdown. The authorities have confirmed financial dwelling state of 169 out of 850 societies and State has availed around 100 Crores for Jalgaon alone to recover from the same. It has announced publicising list of top 50 debtors of co-operative societies and putting a lien on 7/12 statement of such debtors. It also announced its priority to avail refund of deposits to retired, BPL and widowed depositors.

17th July:
MuktaiNagar, Bodwad, Varangaon and Shendurni awaits municipal council status:

Jalgaon district’s MuktaiNagar, Varangaon, Bodwad and Shendurni are still with village Panchayat administration in spite of fact of having revenues worth Crores. State is still in review of upgrading these Panchayat to Municipal Council status since year 2001 but nothing has materialised yet. Bodwad, Varangaon and Shendurni Panchayat have already sent their no objection to formation of council wherein Muktai Nagar Panchayat sent opposition to this with fears of levying of various new taxes.
These major urban places in Jalgaon have grown rapidly in last decade and population has risen to over double at most places. Formation of municipal councils in these locations would lead to enhancement in quality of governmental services for basic infrastructural resources like roads, electricity and drinking water and could also help them in getting good funding for various projects.

Dhule – Maharashtra’s next energy hub:
Dhule district has witnessed amazing growth with reference to arrival of large scale governmental setups in recent 5 years. As a result of this the earlier named ‘backward area city’ has now unfolded its wing to usher in new dawn of globalisation. Maharashtra State government’s soft gesture for encouraging more of its wider setup has now given a new identity of being Maharashtra’s next energy hub.
This includes Rs. 1,200 Crores cost based solar city project at Shivaji Nagar, Sakri along with around 10,000 Crores cost based State Electricity Generation Company’s power generation unit. The company is in full-pace process for land acquisition for the same. State has now approved setting up of electricity transmission centre with 765KVA capacity to enact as backup during emergency for Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. This project is amongst India’s 6 such projects identified and undertaken by Central Government to assist cross-State assistance during breakdowns and all such centres would be connected with national grid centre for uninterrupted supplies.

Gold, silver shoots up again:
Gold and silver prices have started rising once again after  a long span of speculation. Gold has risen by Rs. 650 per 10gms wherein silver has increased by 1,800 per kg in last 6 days only. The European countries economy changes have been a basic reason of rise in prices. Gold is current sold at Rs. 23,850 per 10gms along with Silver at Rs. 59,300 in Jalgaon retail markets.

Uday Phalak to participate in international football competition:
Bhusawal based Uday Phalak has been selected in the youth soccer academy Ahmedabad team as player cum coach to participate in international football club tournament conducted ‘Gothia cup’ to be played in Sweden based Gothenburg from 16th until 25th July. District Police initiates measure for starting Ramanand Nagar Police Station:

Jalgaon district Police has received State ministry order on splitting of Jilha Peth Police Station in two and start up new Police station at Ramanand Nagar. Police have started search for leased premise in the location and would soon start the same with 1 PI, 5 PSI, 13 constables, 10 policemen, 46 clerks totalling to 73 staffing. It would also get one Jeep, arms and weapons.
The Ramanand Nagar Police station will cover area beginning from Iccha devi temple Police Control room, Adarsh Nagar, Mohadi Road, Nehru Nagar, Mahabal, Jakir Hussain Colony, Sambhaji Nagar, Samta Nagar, Kolhe Hills, Ramanand Nagar, Khanderao Nagar, Pimprala – HUDCO, Pimprala area, Shiv Colony, Vidyut Colony and ending in M. Prayas and North Maharashtra Unviersity Sane Guruji cultural centre jointly conducted 13th State level youth services 3-days residential camp is beginning in NMU teacher building from 22nd July. District agricultural department estimates around 20% reduction in yields in this season:
Jalgaon district agricultural authorities have estimated likely reduction in yield by around 20% in this Kharip season. District is yet to see pouring of monsoon and as a result of this only 56% cultivation has been seen yet. District has received only 30mm rainfall by now wherein average rainfall until this date is 70mm. This season has 823,000 hectares cultivatable land and out of this 460,000 hectares area is cultivated until now.

Monsoon cheers again - Authorities open 36 gates of Hatnur dam:

Entire Khandesh region witnessed second round of monsoon raining yesterday throughout day in medium to heavy form. Raining continued till late night and climate is cloudy today as well. The Tapi River origin area has recorded heavy raining and as a result of this River is flooding. Administration has opened up 36 gates of Hatnur dam on Tapi River to control the water pressure. River currently has 175meters level at Bhusawal as per CWC sources.

Police raises high alert in Khandesh amidst Mumbai serial blasts:

Khandesh region’s all district Police has raised alert levels to highest following Mumbai serial blasts. It has also blocked boundaries of districts and checkpoints and is investigating various trains, vehicles and suspicious identities in the reference. The railways security has also been beefed up.
Jalgaon Corporation to receive award for performance in ‘Aadhar’ registration:
Jalgaon City Municipal Corporation has been nominated for award for its excellent performance in achieving good registrations to newly launched ‘Aadhar’ card registration system. State availed 20% of target completion wherein Corporation has achieved 35% until 20th June 2011. It has completed registration of around 131,000 citizens out of its year 2011 population record of 375,000 citizens.

State level badminton competition in Jalgaon from 19th July:
District badminton association is conducting inter-district team and individual category state-level badminton competition at district sports complex from 19th until 24th July. Competition attracts cash prizes worth Rs. 1.80 Lakh and has overall budget of 4Lakhs. Organisers have received registration of 20 teams, 108 men, 64 doubles, 22 women and 9 doubles along with mixed category 9 entries totalling to 130 entries until now. Event has received participation of various rates players amongst registrants.
Prize money includes Rs. 7,000 for men singles winner and Rs. 4,000 for women single winners and Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 3,000 respectively for runner up in both categories along with Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 1,000 each to two teams from both men and women category reaching semis. Individual prizes include Rs. 10,000 for men single winner and Rs. 5,500 to women single winner.

State CM announces bouquet of assurances for Jalgaon:

Maharashtra State CM yesterday announced a bouquet of assurances and good news for Jalgaon district and rest Khandesh during his visit. Amongst major news covers inclusion of banana in crop loan insurance scheme, initiating strict actions against defaulting co-operative lobby to avail depositor’s money, discussing availing special compensation aid for banana losses in fortnight with various agencies and decide, availing special fund of 1.03 Crores for additional land acquisition for Jalgaon airport, to follow up and execute Khandesh legislative area development board in upcoming monsoon session and to further analyse and part Jalgaon R.T.O. office roles in sub-offices on grounds of same pattern applied in other districts.

State CM in Jalgaon today:

Maharashtra State Chief Minister is in Jalgaon district today to inaugurate and attend various programmes. This includes golden jubilee celebration ceremony of Tapi Region educational Mandal and foundation stone laying for sports complex at Faizpur. The sports complex has been proposed under UGC funds and has estimate of 1.10 Crores. He would also inaugurate Indian National Congress’s first rural national convention memories cherishing collection museum. CM would accompany State home minister and food and drugs administrative ministers. District’s banana producers have posted various demands on this eve which includes treating banana in fruit category, including banana in crop insurance, availing compensation to banana on pattern of orange, change State’s base pattern of calculation on crops per 100mm raining, availing compensation of fungal infection in crops and satellite survey of whole area.
Jalgaon district’s other expectations include boosting housing township projects, availing special funds for prolonged irrigation works, paying special attention to availing refund of co-operative societies deposits of Jalgaon depositors and availing special renovation and revamping funds for Jalgaon city.

Monsoon splash cheers region – raining eases after 3 continuous days:

The prolong begun monsoon raining took a delightful break yesterday night after 3 consecutive day of its best performance in Monsoon 2011. Medium to heavy form of raining has cheered farming community widely and most of them are now in full swing works for finalising their season’s cultivation. Tapi River’s basin areas have witnessed around 26.8mm raining in Burhanpur area. Nandurbar has recorded 5.16mm raining in last 3 days. Hatnur dam’s 6 gates are open to control water pressure in the dam area.
Jalgaon district raining statistics have revealed Bodwad with 44.6mm on top, Jalgaon city with 22.8mm and Amalner was on lowest with 6.1mm raining. Jamner city struggling for drinking water woes also witnessed good raining of 14.5mm. kang River here witnessed flooding easing water woes of city.

District exports 30 Lakhs quintal of corn:
Jalgaon district in last year has sold around 30 Lakh quintals of corn to various State in country and has also exported large quantity to other countries as well. Jalgaon district has around 8Lakh hectares cultivation area for Cotton in Kharip season but recent few years have witnessed rising preference to corn seeing good domestic and international demands.
Agricultural department has estimated more cultivation area in this season following delayed monsoon. Gujarat, West Bengal, Mumbai and Bangladesh remained most sold zones.

SSC and HSC exam from 29th September:
State board for secondary and higher secondary education has announced schedule for September/ October 2011 SSC and HSC exam. SSC written exam is from 29th September and continues until 11th October wherein HSC exam is from 29th September until 17th October. SSC practical would be during written exam schedule and oral exam is from 19th until 27th September. HSC practical, grade and oral exam is from 19th until 27th September.

Tapi River birth festivity today:

Daughter of Sun, River Tapi birth festivity is being observed today in whole region. Grand festivity has been organised at Ajnad in Raver where Tapi enters in Maharashtra State. Festivity would have mega worshipping followed by Dindi and Prasadam to mark the eve. The pious River has 180 religious places on its bank and Bhusawal city is one amongst them. The 702kms length Tapi River flows in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat and has 65 square kilometres water spread area. Ancient holy literature refers birth of Tapi River as Holy River to ease heat in Lord Sun. Bathing in River during Chaturmas, Kartiki, Adhikmas, Ekadashi and Grahana are amongst few important traditions followed since centuries.

Monsoon glees Khandesh – rain pours in whole region:
The ‘Punarvasu’ Nakshatra escaped entire Khandesh from panic of lowered and delaying monsoon raining and marked its strong presence in medium to low form in whole Khandesh including Jalgaon district. This raining has now enabled farmers to move for cultivation and escaped their standing cultivations.
Parola, Amalner, Dharangaon and Chopda Taluka have reported rain pouring causing water logging in many inner areas in cities. Bhusawal region also reported good raining since afternoon and rain showering continues to be in full pace in whole region even now.

Jalgaon civil hospital to turn multi-speciality hospital:
State owned district civil hospital in Jalgaon is undergoing new avatar and has announced its ambitious plan to start multi-speciality services for every class of community at nominal cost. The on-going revamp is being conducted under National Rural health mission and key motto of offering best possible medical facilities, pleasant services and smiling gestures in services. Administration has plans to complete this work by 15th August.

Monsoon raining in whole Khandesh:

Khandesh region witnessed much delayed monsoon raining having arrived medium to heavy form in almost whole region. Pouring in Dhadgaon caused flooding to Uday River and Champavati River in Chahardi. Panjhra River also witnessed flooding in Sakri area in Dhule. Delayed raining has causes losses worth Rs. 300 Crore to region in terms of its overall yields. Jalgaon District having annual turnover of 2,800 Crores in agricultural produces every year is facing jolts following lowered and delaying monsoon rainfall.

State level marathon competition in Jalgaon in August:
District athletics association is conducting State level marathon competition on 01st August along with district level inter-school marathon. It attracts first prize of Rs. 2,501, Rs. 1,501, Rs. 1,001, 701, 501, 301 along with 3 consolation prizes and trophy. India’s 25% cotton lying in Khandesh awaiting for exports:

Lesser period for exports and greater producers in current season has led to around 6Lakh cotton bells lying in Khandesh alone. There are no buyers to this ready to use yield. Khandesh ginning and factories development association has demanded immediate attention of State in the reference and has urged opening of extended export quota to ease this selling.

Drinking water woes panics Jamner – city on tanker supplies since last 1 month:

Jalgaon city’s harsh drinking water experience is visible these days in Jamner city. The city having all its drinking water storage resources dried almost 2 months ago is running acute shortage of water supplies. As a result of this, council is running tanker based supplies for availing water to whole city. The traditional drinking supplies pipeline is no more providing water since a month and alike Jalgaon, the drinking water supplies has become a cash business and hot seller. Lesser water availability while supplying through tankers, area specific shortages and political influence are making life worsened here for common citizen.

Engineering diploma admission process extended until 11th July:
State board of technical education has extended deadlines for admission to diploma in engineering course until 11th July and last date of filling papers as 15th July for reserved categories.

District democracy day today:
Jalgaon district Collectorate conducted monthly democracy day is being observed today at Collectorate. Administration has urged citizens to take benefit of same to raise their written complaints for any of concerns thereof.

03rd July:
Delaying monsoon raining panics region:

The agricultural dominant Khandesh region is having hard times with delaying state of Monsoon raining in this season. All districts in Khandesh have until now seen lowest form of raining and whole June month has went almost dry. Jalgaon Taluka has received mere 47mm, Bhusawal – 26.6, Yaval – 8.2, Raver – 11.4, MuktaiNagar – 16, Amalner – 22.9, Chopda – 5, Erandol – 58, Parola – 14.7, Chalisgaon – 41.2, Jamner – 33.5, Pachora – 50.2, Bhadgaon – 32.6, Dharangaon – 32 and Bodwad has recorded 49.2mm rainfall as on 02nd July end.
Farmers are now desperate and have hopes on Punarvasu Nakshatra beginning from 06th July. In many Tahsil, earlier cultivation is in danger of getting damaged following lesser water availability.

Corporation to avail single window service from 01st August:
Jalgaon city municipal corporation has announced opening up of single window services at its administrative building on third floor from 01st August. The proposed service will offer all services of corporation to citizens at single location thereby comforting and saving time. It would offer birth, death, marriages registration, license renewal, LBT registration, department-wise complaints receipt and all alike services here through 12 computer systems inter-connected.

District banana shipped through railway wagon:
Jalgaon district banana producers had sweet rejoicing moments yesterday after reinstating their banana shipment to northern India after a span of over 7 months. District’s 25 producers yesterday sent first set of wagons yesterday and shared sweets along to note the moment.

02nd July:
Yaval council to update its ward structure:

Administration yesterday heard complaints relating to new ward structure for Bhusawal, Yaval, Chalisgaon and Amalner municipal councils. It has approved 2 out of 4 complaints in Yaval and this would now impact ward structure here. Bhusawal had 12 complainants wherein Chalisgaon, Amalner and Raver had one each. Bhusawal structure related few complainants were not present and hence those were skipped, rest were rejected and same status remained for other councils.

State level badminton competition in Jalgaon:
District badminton association in joint efforts with Jain sports academy is conducting State level senior inter-district and open badminton competition from 19th until 24th July at district sports complex. Jalgaon has received this honour of hosting even after 4 years span. Event will have district level competition on 19th and 20th wherein open competition is from 21st until 24th July. 01st July:
North Maharashtra University presents its annual budget:
North Maharashtra University management council presented NMU’s annual budget for financial year 2011-12 having Rs. 102.56 Crores overall volume and 4.74 Crores deficit. Last year budget was of 96 Crores. Amongst major provisions include setting up closed circuit cameras in its exam department at estimated cost of 50 Lakhs, 10 Lakhs for NSS 7 days’ residential camps, 20 Lakhs for scholarship to 10 boys and girls each for higher education, accommodation, educational expenditure etc. It has also provisioned 5 Lakhs for promoting anti-ragging measures in its affiliated colleges, 12 Lakhs for conducting annual Chankya competition in its affiliated colleges.
It has provisioned 50 Lakhs for electricity sub-distribution centre for smoothened supplies of electricity in all department, laboratories and administrative building. It has proposed 50 Lakhs cost based swimming pool in earlier setup 3 Crores cost based indoor stadium. Amongst other provisions include Rs. 1 Crore laboratory setup for chemical technology department’s to be started M. Tech courses in various streams. Amongst other provision includes 5 Lakhs for toilets for handicapped, 15 Lakhs for central school, 30 Lakhs for 6th pay commission remuneration payment effect from July-2010, 5 Lakhs for study centre, 20 Lakhs for Science museum, 1.50 Crores for houses construction, 1.50 Crores for stage development for annual convocation ceremony, 1 Crore for roads in NMU campus and 25 Lakhs for hostel.

Police sports competition – head quarter wins best performer award:
District police sports competition ended yesterday with its head quarter marking dominating play and winning the competition trophy. Dipti Anfat and Shyam Pawar won best athlete awards along with Jamir Shaikh winning 100 meters racing. Jalgaon division defeated head quarter team in handball competition wherein headquarter team won 4x400 meters relay competition along with Jalgaon division as runner up and Amalner securing third rank.
